Good idea. Can you answer my coil quandary on a previous thread?

As an alternative you could use the repo '50 Ford hubcaps that do not have a logo on them. They will fit the Merc wheels and you can use a trim ring. I ran them on my '54 Merc.

Depending how fussy you are about "correctness" I think there is quite a range of caps that fit and look good. I acquired a pair of fifties "Meteor" caps that fit perfect on my 52 Merc.

Anyone having trouble keeping full size hubcap from rotating on rim. 3 out of 4 wheels on my 52 Ford Sunliner have a piece added to wheel which prevents this. Looking to buy a couple of these. I will try to attach pictures.IMG_0433.jpg

I had the same problem on my 64 Galaxy XL and those were EXPENCIVE caps ! I did a light spatter weld around the rim where the cap teeth gripped it . Never lost another and that's been twenty plus years and thousands of miles. Not the prettiest but but you can't see it with the cap on. Tim

Clean up the inside of your hub cap and write your name and phone number on the inside a kind person might find it and call you
