Manifold Heater Mount
I acquired this manifold heater with the car. How do these typically mount to the exhaust manifold? This heater has two through bolts as shown in the picture? Appreciate any insight

Re: Manifold Heater Mount
Autolite heater manifold (waffle top style) is needed. It is secured with two small bolts through the top.

Re: Manifold Heater Mount
It requires a heater mangold for it to fit over. Then the two bolts pass through the heater and screw into the manifold. The heater manifold I had was taller, more square and fluted than the standard manifold.

Re: Manifold Heater Mount
I believe the heater cover you have is used over the standard Model A exhaust manifold. The cover that goes over the Autolite waffle heater manifold looks like this.................
The heater cover you have goes over the stock exhaust manifold by removing the rear through bolt, then place the cover over the stock manifold, re-insert the bolt and tighten it to secure the cover.

Re: Manifold Heater Mount
Thanks Fred, what is securing the heater to the manifold(other than the hose)
Is your manifold a stock round body?

Re: Manifold Heater Mount
Yes my manifold is stock. The two halves of the heater fit around the manifold and are held together with two bolts.
