Fly Wheel Depth
Does any one know the depth from the shoulder where the pressure plate bolts to the surface that the clutch disc contacts? Is there a service limit spec. for this? Thanks, Steve

Re: Fly Wheel Depth
I have been told it is 1.123, easy to remember. If you are having the clutch surface re-surfaced tell the machinist to take a cut on the pressure plate mounting bolt area to restore the dimension. Also beware that the flywheel may have been re-surfaced a number of times and it puts the head of the flywheel mounting bolts closer to the clutch surface. I cannot off hand remember the minimum dimension. The clutch disk with the springs could easily drag on the mounting bolts. I always grind some material off the head of the mounting bolts as an added insurance.
