Horn ID
Guys,
What year is this horn for? It was in the stash of stuff at my parents house and it certainly isn't for anything we have. The cover has a bunch of cracks in it but the rest doesn't look too bad. What is it worth? Thank you, Red |

Re: Horn ID
The clinching photos are missing, namely that of the horn bell and that of the mounting bracket out in the light. For sure it is in the '33-'35 range, but whether the first two years or the latter remains to be seen. Not worth much unless it is operable, in which case the apparent appearance shortcomings are less important.

Re: Horn ID
35 horn is same for DeLuxe and Standard. Standard has one horn, DeLuxe has two. If it is painted black it is a commercial horn.
It is hard to tell from that angle. Post a picture looking head on into the trumpet. It looks like a 34 from that angle. Value depends a lot on whether it works or not. It is missing an important part, but I'm not sure of the correct nomenclature of the part. (Capacitor ?)

Re: Horn ID
From this angle, the front extension appears to be a 1933 and 1934 Ford |

This a picture of the 1934 Ford Horn. The 1933 Fords are the same shape at the front as the 1934 Fords. |

This a picture of the 1935 Ford Horn. The front extension is more oval than the 1933/1934 Ford Horns |

Re: Horn ID
Another significant difference between 33-34 and 35 and later [commercial] horns, is that the letters around the base of the top cover are embossed outward on the 33-34's, and indented on the later horns.

Re: Horn ID
Here is another photo of the horn. It looks like '34? Certainly seems like it isn't too valuable then.
