Default 1934 Vineyard Green

Have been trying to obtain correct formula or paint chip for ‘34 Vineyard Green. As I understand this was used only in ‘34 and is a grayish green color. I took these formulas to my NAPA paint dealer and they could not work up a sample.
PPG M1731 Intermix1470 also a DuPont 246-30577. I realize these old formulas can be useless crossing to single stage urethanes. I am working on a Model A project but thought I would try the V8 forum. Want to do a mock-up of Vineyard Green Body, Brewster Green reveals and Apple Green stripe. The other two colors are easy as I have the Model A paint chip book to scan. Is there a V8 club paint chip book? Also, I did order a rattle can of Vineyard Green online but was too dark. Open to suggestions.

IM-1470, the original Ford code for the 1934 and 1935 model year versions of Vineyard green is available from autocolorlibrary.com (TCP Global). I've found their paint colors to be pretty accurate matches of the originals. Keep in mind that between Ford and Lincoln in the early '30s there were three shades of Brewster Green in use, light, medium, and dark. The dark was a Lindoln color and only appeared to be a shade of green in direct sunlight. Conservative, but very handsome.

If the vineyard green used for the pickup is the same, I have the Nason paint code for paint I had color matched from an original 1935 commercial panel.
The color pictured looks darker than my panels.
BTW, I understand that the number/mix would be unique to Nasons paint.

I wouldn’t argue with that it does look like bell system green. The van pic certainly does look grayer than Tudor. The Tudor color is preferred. These are screen shots off the internet of stated Vineyard Green vehicles. I could just go through the chip books find something close sample and tweak it. I am not a fan of original colors for ‘29 Phaeton but want to stay in the Ford paint palette. Mine had evidence of original Balsam Green which looks very similar to my John Deere. The car was painted in the 50’s in a light shade of green and want to go with a green as a nod to its past in the family. Wish there was a paint chip book for early V8’s but maybe not much calling for it.

That is one sweet looking truck. Yes that color looks like it. I was going to sample a Brewster green (very dark green almost black) as a reveal color versus black. I could be happy with a color similar to this truck.

This is what the Nason color looks like made from the original commercial inner fender panel.

I can only speak to tcp Global's Restoration Shop version of 1940 Cloud Mist Gray and it was pretty much right on. The floors of my 46k mile 40 coupe were still shiny and the new paint on a spray out was indistinguishable. ( Also single stage urethane)

It was on the truck when I bought it last fall. It was an option with the 36 and I believe 35 trucks. I also think it was more prominent on the large Model 51. I am not sure if it is original chrome or a rechrome. Thanx
