If you can get away with the engine number then it's an alternative. If the engine ends up shot, then you are right back where you started from. That body number (or frame number) *A225115* is from July 1928 production. That engine number *A3792643* is from August of 1930. Add a 2 to the first number (example *A2251152*) and that puts it into September of 1929.
Most model A frames are a lot alike but there are differences. Pluck's research will give you most details. http://www.plucks329s.org/ The radiator mounting for the 28/29 on the front cross member is different due to the shorter radiator in those cars. You may have build problems due to the differences. Nothing that can't be overcome but it is what it is. I'd look for a frame that is closer to the body time frame myself. A lot of us Ford part hoarders have extra frames laying around due to stuff like this. Many an old model A are in the bitsa category. Bits of this and bits of that.
