Re: Rare Model A related parts...
image.jpgThis an accessory automatic choke. I got this years ago from an old Ford dealership. One end attaches to the carb and the other end rests against the exhaust manifold. I put it on my 30 coupe once to see if it worked. It did.

I'm interested to learn more about this pump because I ran across one this afternoon. I probably wouldn't have even given it a second look had it not been for your post here. What's the story? |

Re: Rare Model A related parts...
Some rare bits here guys but try this one: MADE IN AUSTRALIA badge fitted to 1928-29 Model A Ford roadsters and phaetons (on Aussie passenger side of seat riser) assembled at the Ford Motor Company of Australia at the Geelong assembly plant (approx 45 miles from Melbourne). Ford Australia was a subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company of Canada and our Model A roadsters and phaetons came here Knock-Down from the Walkerville plant. Most guys here don't even know about these rare badges and I've only seen a handful in my 60 Years of playing with Model As. As the saying goes and with respect, "That isn't a knife ... this is a knife". Cheers from Downunder, Rod Webster, Melbourne, Australia. P.S. Trying to work out how to post a my own pic of the badge!

How about NOS 28-29 upper water hose? Never installed! I can't use on my 1930.

Re: Rare Model A related parts...
What about a part that was made incorrectly. I have a 28-29 headlight bar that was made with the pad for the horn on the right. The slight forward/rear offset of the bar outboard of the headlight cups is also the wrong way. There is no sign of anyone heating and bending it. I didn't notice it until I had it sitting with others checking for straightness. Everything else is right, the angle of the cups, the mount pads at the ends. It's just the horn pad and the offset on the outer ends of the cups that is wrong. It is not for RHD cars as the horn still mounted on the LHS.

All those other things are cool...but everyone needs one of these...cool in the summer...warm in the winter...but use caution as some can be noisier then a bone dry transmission.

Going through my Father's spares, about the rarest things I've found so far is a suction cupped windshield defroster that plugs into the dashlight bulb socket, and a governor that runs off the cam gear.
