'36 3-window
When I brought home the '36 3-window I had wanted for years, my wife looked through some old family photos and found these photo of her mother and her car which were taken in 1941. Mine had been stripped to be made into a race car in the late-50's, but had sat untouched in a garage since 1960. Wonder if it's her old car......
Just thought I'd share: |

Re: '36 3-window
Great photos, thanks for sharing history. It is a Deluxe car with chrome grille, windshield, Deluxe tire cover and right side taillight with blue dot! I believe it may be rare to have a 3W Coupe Deluxe with a trunk and not a rumble seat.

Re: '36 3-window
According to the efv8c 35-36 book, all 35-36 three window coupes were deluxe cars. Why? Who knows.

The '36 3-winmdow I bought last summer also has a trunk lid and a passenger's side taillight. It was found within 20 miles of my M-I-L's house. The previous owner & my M-I-L are both deceased, so there's no way to trace the car, but who knows.....? |
