Default Joey box

A Henry Ford designed overdrive.

Was a factory shortened tailshaft made for this?

it appears to be a high/low box for a AA truck.

"Dual High" so named in marketing hubris of 1928. Actually more a "dual low."

The AA truck might get 42 mph with a high speed rear end. Give that maybe 32 mph with the dual low engaged.

I don't want to talk about a low speed rear with a dual high.

To install the Dual High aux trans in the 28 AA,the coupling shaft assy was removed & the aux trans was installed in its place. It just gives you a slow & slower speeds-great for pulling very heavy loads.A much better choice would be an AA Warford 3-speed aux trans which gives you an under, direct & overdrive. It also fits in place of the coupling shaft
