For that kind of money someone paid for that Fumaze, I think I will remove my Fumaze from my Roadster and put it up for sale !!!!!!!

I think you are correct. A friend gave me one, how do you tell a
"gennie" from a repop?

I have a fairly descent Fumaze, but it's missing the bracket. Looks like I need to get to making one!

There are no repops. That's why they're collectable. The holy grail is to have the original cardboard box and instruction sheet. Only the round capped style road draft blowby tube with the steel flex hose is re-crapped. Some people confuse that thing with 'Fumaze'. Like calling your Filko refrigerator a 'Frigidare'. A fumaze says "FUMAZE", embossed up on the aysymetric crowned oval cap and has visible patent data stamped. The Fumaze draft tube is, of course, a straight pipe. There is no flex anything.

look at page 17 of their catalog, pn A-6766-FM, it has been out of production for over a year. There is a Fumaze Accessory Oil breather Tube & Filler Cap Assembly - EXACT COPY OF ORIGINAL ACCESSORY.

See the photos below.

I believe the Fumaze in primer with "pat pending P.O.B. MFG CO CINN O" is an original.

The Fumaze in black paint "patented in USA" is the Repop. Also it has non seamed tube with a heavier wall than an original.

I have 2 that I'm pretty sure are repos from the 70s. If you seat the rings properly, you dont need one.

I too don't understand why these go for so much. I never have blow by, and if i did i would fix the original problem, not spend $300 trying to cover it up.

It bolts to the Water Inlet, same as the wire coming off the generator.

BTW, mine is an original as well, but it's missing the bracket. (and I didn't pay $300 for it!)

Ouch. I recall setting those aside when rummaging through the old parts vendors boxes at swap meets years ago. I wasn't going to spring for $5.00 for one of those!!!!!! If I knew then what I know now I would have setup my retirement with these over Mutual Funds....
