As far as I know, no Mallory distributor for the Model A has had a tach drive for a cable. There are at least 3 versions of the early Mallory, and they came in dual point or single, and several newer versions some of which were single or dual point.

There are several options for connecting a cable tach to an A or B engine but a Mallory ignition is not one of them in stock form.
There were tach drives made back in the "A" days that mounted on the front of the cam cover but good luck finding one of those.
The most popular option was off the nose of the crank.
Unfortunately, there is not room to do this on a stock A without cutting out some of the cross member.
Here's a pic of one I had awhile back.

I run Mallory's made for a Datsun that have a tach drive on them and an upper ball bearing. Probably too much advance in them for a flathead but that could be tailored. They were easy to modify to fit the A.
