Default 35 Valve Springs

Guys,

Just discovered that my new valve springs are not uniform. One end the coils are tighter that the other. Should the end with tighter coils go against the valve guide or at the end of the valve?
Thanks much,
Peder

The tighter end of the spring goes up against the valve guide, most flathead springs are made this way....Ed
