Throwout COLLAR # A 7561 B
I took this throwout bearing collar and a bearing off of a AA transmission.
I'm wondering, is this collar same as ALL such collars , or are there other models between 1928 and 1931 ? |

Re: Throwout COLLAR # A 7561 B
Hello Rick,
If it came from a 4 speed it will be shorter than one from a 3 speed, I do not have the measurements, I am going to PM you. I just looked that part # up in the Green bible, that # is for the 3 speed either for the A - AA, the 4 speed part # would be AA 7561-A. Regards Brian.

Thanks for your reply/input, as it giggled something in my last two active brain cells/sells/sales.. ! In other words, I made a mistake in identification of first pictured collar. It was taken off of an A truck 3 speed. Now , I rechecked my 'junk' and here is a picture of the AA trans collar I removed recently. Yeah, BIG difference as the 3 speed one measures 2 7/8"length, while the 4 speed collar measures only 1 5/8" length ! Hm, still have a question whether there are ANY other variations....maybe without the grease zerk? Last edited by hardtimes; 04-27-2015 at 04:14 PM. Reason: ....... |

Re: Throwout COLLAR # A 7561 B
I know this thread is really old, but ...
I'm new to model As/AAs. I need one of these collars for a 4 speed AA transmission. Based only on pictures, I'm thinking the later 48-7561-A collar might be the same but without the grease fitting. This part is listed for 1935-48 Ford cars and 35-52 trucks. I haven't been able to find any information on the web about this, so I thought I'd ask if you had any idea if the AA-7561-A and 48-7561-A might be interchangeable. |
