Default 34 3-Window inside handles

Can someone post a couple photos of the correct door handles and window cranks for a 3-window? Are they the same as other body styles? Thanks

Here are a couple examples of the window crank handles.Handles for the deluxe version body styles all have a burled knob. There are variations as to the colors as some are light and some are darker.Standard body styles have a nickle plated knob.
3rd pic is a standard window crank handle

All of the interior door handles (and window crank handles) are the same on all '34 deluxe closed cars and cabriolets. The standard closed cars used the same handles, but the knobs on the window crank handles were nickel plated rather than mottled brown plastic..

I have the burled knobs on my '33 3w, but there's practically nothing left of them; cracked, deteriorating and quite small. If replacing them was a possibility, one would have to pull the mohair door panel, then . . . how are they attached.

ALSO, regarding these two on our left as we view, the chrome is dull. That is apparently common because mine are dull as well. All 'brightwork in the interior is dull including the gauges (chrome?) panel and trim ring which are pitted as well. The clearcoat on the woodgrained dash/windows is cracked.Thank you.

A - the handles weren't originally chrome plated, but rather they were nickel plated, which makes them more prone to oxidation. B - you do not need to remove the door trim panels to remove the handles; it is done with the trim panels in place. As a matter of fact, you cannot remove the door trim panels without first removing the handles unless you don't mind destroying the trim panels in the process.

I believe the knobs were held on with "drive screws" aka "screw nails". https://www.mcmaster.com/products/drive-screws/.

The burled knobs were made of "high tech" plastic (for 1933) and if the urban legends I have heard were from a soy bean base. In any case prone to deterioration with age. Many moons ago Vintique reproduced the knobs (separate or installed on the handle) from a swirled acrylic plastic.

Making burled knobs would be an interesting project for a multi filament (multi color) 3D printer... Might even work!

Karl,

It was Dennis Carpenter who reproduced the multi-colored plastic knobs in some of the various '32-'34 versions.
