Default '34 Ford Drive and Show

Here are few photos of my '34 Ford. The car is unrestored with low mileage. The wheels and top surfaces of the fenders have been repainted; the remainder of the paint, upholstery, and glass are all largely original. A year or so of detail work paid off, and the coupe runs and drives well.

When the cylinder heads were replaced, we found that the flathead V8 had not been rebuilt. There is a little blow by and smoking from the engine- a mosquito fog.

Thanks a million to Michael Driskell, Joe's Auto Parts, and Charlie Schwendler who helped get the car running smoothly. David G was kind enough to give me '34 advice. 32 Phil duplicated the original keys and all three locks turn perfectly. Dash wiring came from Tyree Harris, the original being frayed where passing through the firewall.

This Ford is a little "rough around the edges" but is great to drive and show off.

If any Fordbarn members are aware of the history of this car, please message me or reply. The coupe spent most of its life in San Diego, and the owner's manual has "Neuner Bros Ford" penciled on it. The car was sold by a previous California owner at the Hershey car show in 2008.

Its a real beauty, Scott. I hope you have many happy miles. Like you, I've benefited so much from the people here on the barn.

Wow
Neuner Bros. In 1935 had a unique building modeled after the Ford Building at Balboa park used for the 1935 California Pacific International Exposition. The building was removed but may be rebuilt as part of the "Fort" it was located at 1101 Fort Stockton Dr. Mission Hills, CA
You can find several photos of the dealership on the web. In one photo you can see the radiator dog for a 34 Ford.

I like that you have kept the car stock (no lowering, no wheel changes, etc.) and that you have black wall tires on it. The car just looks right.
