Default Top paint

The 31 went in for complete paint. The top is in good shape so should I have it painted black or use some kind of preservative?

Agree with Mitch. If it is all questionable where you think something needs to be put on it, then replace it. The top kit is really surprisingly not that expensive. Shame to have a nicely painted car, and a slightly raggedy top.
