Bummer, WK,
Wish you lived closer! Lonely can be really tough. Without the Dog, I'd be a nut-cake. Bill W.

Man I really feel for you guys that are lonely..................(bet it's quiet)
I am surrounded the Kids, (gurlz) the dawg, and Womens.
My Pop is ill, so he dodged the event, tbut I really miss him being here.

You boys might head down to the local center to interact with those that would be interested in your cars, and take on life.
You'll never know who'll you'll meet or the fiends you make.
Merry HoHo, Press on and don't stop!

Our dog had to be put down in October, our daughter came in from LA with her Chihuahua, good to have a dog in the house again! Had a nice day with the family too. First time I've ever been around one of the little guys, great dog, looks like a Lab puppy that will never grow up. Bob

Just me and the dogs today. My wife flew out this morning for Milwaukee to see the kids and grandkids. I spent the afternoon pinstriping the coupe and preparing for the blizzard that is coming tomorrow.

Thank you Mark,
We're gradually doin' better, takes time to get used to Pat bein' gone after 55 years together. She's with Jesus now & PERFECT! As much as I miss her, it would be SELFISH for me to wish her back! After 6 months, I'm ready to finish Vermin and post a whole passle of pics to prove he really EXISTS! (Most of my friends don't believe I had a backup '29 Coupe when I had to sell Minerva, my Black Phantom Early '30 Std. Coupe that would run 80 MPH with 3.78 gears & NO overdrive!) Pat loved that car, even after her Dementia got real bad, we roared around everywhere, laughin' like IDIOTS!! Bill W. ( HEY! I just accidentally discovered this key ~~~~~~ Does your keyboard have it?? It's just to the left of this key !!!!!!! I don't know what it MEANS?? Dog also says?????

Pretty amazing how many of us were on FordBarn yesterday. I don't think it means we were all lonely. Just shows how great a website this is and how strong the appeal to all of us for our prized possessions!

Spent some time here in the morning, then off to the girlfriend's house to make breakfast for her visiting from NYC daughter and boyfriend, then off to my son;s inlaws for bottle exchange with them, my son and daughter in law, and my daughter and grandson. (grandson did not get a bottle, he got car model kits) That was followed by a great dinner, and a trip home to watch British comedy on the PBS channel. A wonderful day in all.
Much better than the day before, when we laid to rest the father of our friend.

Glad you had the dog, and remember you have us.

FordBarn is like a family - you come to visit, share and learn. Yes, and sometimes fight and bitch at each other, but that's what families do. God bless you all, Bill

I spent te day with Mrs Sturgis, her daughter and grand children and granddaughters boyfriend. The daughter does not heat with wood and I could not find a warm place to stand. The grandchildren and boy friend were playing video games and did not want to visit and Mrs Sturgis was too busy cooking to talk. I left a few times to go check on the dog, check the wood stove and stand next to the wood stove. It was a good Christmas.

I got a Sears gift certificate and she said I should probably use some of it for clothes. I think I might ask her for some cash to pay the sales tax. Second thought, I do not think I will ask.

Yep, she and I spent all day until about 6 or 7PM when my son came home. Here she is doing what she does best......begging for treats.
I wasn't lonely though, I am used to it (and antisocial).

Yeah. It would be good to actually meet most of you guys and your families. I guess I need to get out more. The cool thing is that relationships with people is what its really all about. The cars and trucks form that. But, I know that if BILL WILLIAMSON ha d to sell both his cars, or as some of you have lost yours due to fire, wrecks, etc., BILL would still be our friend, as the relationships we have with others transcends any material possession. Whether we like it or not, its all going to burn up in the end. You cannot take it with you, as they say. BUT, memories and relationships are something you can.

Mark,
I "THINK" my "BRAIN" remembered sumptin' about the~~ being used in Spanish above an "N" to give it that NIEU sound. Maybe the`` is used in French above the "E" to make it sound like an "A" like in Coupe` Bill W.

Hey Bill, I had to drive over to Jersey (Gawd I hate it over there) to visit with my NJ Daughter and her husband and 4 squalin' kids (Mommy, Colin hit me!) Arghh.I took a couple of Hemmings motor News and a Mac's catalogue and kept busy. My Cal. Daughter was leaving Orange Co for Mammoth lake when she skyped us. She dropped the word on us that she's Pregger's with # 6. (second for her) Great! Denver Daughter then skyped us and my sons in law took over talking about rock music, computers, Etc and I went back to my Mac's catalogue. Then it was time to eat. My daughter never even considers my sugar levels when she concocts these recipes. All in all, not a bad day, but not a particularily good one either>. Glad to be home in Pa.

Hosted Xmas dinner, one of our family members wanted to hear the "A" run so we ended up in the garage for a bit, Bill, sometimes the dog is our only friend regardless of how many people are around

We did have a very good Christmas with some of our kids. It was pleasant in that we could talk with each other rather that seeing their latest hi-tec stuff. Maybe it was because of the sign posted on our front door-this got posted after our Thanksgiving get together. Note the picture:

Is Buster T old enough to drive yet? I see that these other dog enablers let their dogs drive.

28RPU,
Tongue looked like a SNAKE! Did you know that dogs fold up their tongues when they close their mouth? Dogs lap water by curving their tongue UNDER and dumpin' the water into the BOTTOM of their mouth, REALLY!!

Hot about 88F if my conversion is right - No jackets unless you wish to see Doctor Karl treat you for heatstroke - When on duty I would use IV fluids. Off duty we use beer !! Karl

Hi Bill~~~~~~~I don't know your story, but I've been there where loneliness really hurts so bad that you become paralyzed by it. My first wife passed away 12 years ago, but before she died, she sat me down in the love seat, and said, I don't what you to sit around feeling sorry for yourself, I'm going to a far better place. Get out there and do all the things you've every wanted to do, reach out to another good women and get on with your life. After wondering around in a numb state for months, her statement seem to start ringing in my ears loud and clear. That's when I got a computer and went on the scariest adventure of my life. I sign on to Match.com and after many meet and greets,~~~I met the women that I mentioned in my post ( Nine Women and Kiwi who brought me to Ford Barn). I'm not a shrink, just worked the Tool and Die trade for 40 years, but you might be alone, but you don't have to be lonely, it's a choice. I'd like to meet you someday, Bill, I've never know a Guru.

ModelA,
Haven't decided yet to make Buster a ROAD DOG. He's 6 years old, I've had him for a year now.
Wish you lived close, I have a whole mess of Abbott & Costello VHS movies in a collection of 493 that I "stole" for $115.00! I also have all 22 James Bond 007's! If I don't watch all them before I CROAK, I'm taking the un-watched ones with me so Chief & I can watch them together! Bill W.

My wife and I spent the last few days in SoCal with daughters, grandchildren, and dogs. It was a very pleasant holiday, but we're glad to be home again with our dogs. We missed them and they missed us. I'll be back in my garage again tomorrow. Gonna spend New Years with a bunch of neighbors.

Should I use them days to finish the car, or should I polish my baseboards?? I'm not all here yet after napping! Chief used to say, "I'm like an old GOOSE, by morning, I fergot all I knew & had to be totally RE-TRAINED"!! I didn't believe that though, that sucker could work CIRCLES around me. Bill W.

Bill, If you lived closer you would have been more than welcome to spend Christmas with us. We were at my parents house, with my Grandma showing up and both of my Grandsons there we had 5 generations accounted for. Unfortunately my oldest 2 daughters had to work, but am and I picked up the Grandsons on our way out of town. It was a real good day. Rod

Bill, 55 years...not many have reached that...post some old time photos of you and your gal! I'll be down in the summer and my kids and wife and I will stop by Fresno. To say hello in person. It'll be a treat. Blessings to you, your dog and your wife in Heaven.

A very(belated) Merry Christmas to you. Hope 2013 goes your way. One of those years where it will be nice to turn the page.

Bill,
I would love to take you up on the movie marathon offer someday. It is starting to snow here in Illinois and it is getting too cold to work in my garage. Especially if I have to crawl under a car on the cold floor. One day I won't be able to get back up. So I am now going into TV hibernation mode. Family got a BluRay disc player and lots of discs. Watching the Breaking Bad and Dexter series now so by Spring I should know how to be an accomplished Meth dealer and / or serial killer. Both are excellent addictive shows......
