If he buys a "done" motor he should check to see who rebuilt it before he buys it. Which rebuilders do you think he should accept a motor from?

Turlock Machine would be a good choice for you, they do nice work. Don't bother with #13, I don't do engines.

Just FYI,

My engine was rebuilt by Taylor Engine shortly before Jay Steel passed away. Chris Thoensen bought the business, and last I heard had moved it Brea, CA (had been in Whittier, CA). I have not heard anything about them in years. When I Google it, I get the following address: 170 Gemini Ave A-2, Brea, CA 92821 and phone number (562) 698-7231. You can give those a try and see if you can talk to them.

31Abone,

Like Jim says, Turlock Machine is probably the closed shop near you.

You should call him (209-495-1689) because he has a waiting list.

If your engine is orginal to car, do you want to replace with another one?

How many miles did your engine last?

Guy on the Hamb has a turn key engine just being finished by Turlock. His plans changed and he is selling it, asking exactly what the Turlock bill is. I believe there is a long wait for their engines. A search over their will find it, he just listed it this week , I believe.

WHN, it is a model B engine, so most likely not original to car.
