1947 Ford 2 door 6 cyl how to tell if its a deluxe or Super deluxe?

My son has a 47 Ford 2 Dr 6 cyl. How can we find out if it is a Deluxe or Super Deluxe?

Crank out wind vents is an indicator it is a super deluxe.
Of course super deluxe accessary might have been added over the years.

Don't know if 6 cylinder has an emblem like this on the hood. If so, it could be a clue.




Also, Ford lists the following features for a Super Deluxe that are not on a Deluxe:

Light in glove compartment
Horn ring in two-spoke steering wheel
Extra quality upholstery materials
Two ash trays on the instrument panel
Ash tray in rear compartment of sedans
Robe cord on Fordor Sedan
Assist loops in sedans
Crank-type ventilators on front door windows
Pivoting rear quarter windows in Fordor Sedans
Arm rests on both front doors
Center license plate guard on front bumper
Chassis springs fitted with fabric-lined metal covers
Clock in right side of instrument panel

But, I have the hood emblem but missing a few of the above. Go figure.

My '48 Super D tudor, bought new by my Father, lacks the cranks on vents and the license guard...I think the latter is just something they forgot to erase from the book after the '46 type trim ended. The rear compartment ashtray is actually 2 of them. I think the trunk light was also standard on Super deluxe, and its wiring is part of main harness, not an add on. I believe the 6 would have the same emblem you show with 6 in place of 8, and isn't there a "Super Deluxe" or two on the dash?

Some quick things. If the original hood ornament is there it will either say "Deluxe 6" for a Deluxe or "Super Deluxe 6" for a Super Deluxe. Deluxe had only one ashtray built in the dash where the Super Deluxe had two. Super Deluxe had a horn ring where the Deluxe just has the center "Button" with no horn ring.47-48(except early 47 which looks like a 46) do not have a vent window crank in either model.

Thank you for all the responses. I have posted pictures my son sent me as he is in the Army in Ft Campbell. The car is mostly all there except someone stripped it of all the chrome & stainless which we have to gather up for it. No hood emblem some one took it off.The bumpers are off of another car. I can see the full horn ring and the 2 ash trays on the dash and I remember he said it had a trunk light and arm rests. So it probably was a super deluxe? I appreciate all your help.

Should it have had holes in the lf fender front for the super deluxe? There is no holes but the fender could have been replaced at some time. Thanks everyone!

I think the missing holes you refer to are 1946.
