Re: 1932 Radiator Shell and Grill Question
Good question for HAMB. First I assume you mean a '30-'31 Model A. If you have a '28-'29 my suggestion would be to forget it. On the '30-'31 you will find that the radiator neck is in the wrong location and has to be moved or cut off and another inlet installed under the hood. The hood hinge will have to be dealt with as the Model A is a rod and the '32 is a formed stainless steel strip.

Re: 1932 Radiator Shell and Grill Question
It will bolt on to the 30-31. Just use the front hinge retainer for the Model A shell so the Model A hood fits.

Re: 1932 Radiator Shell and Grill Question
My '32 shell is a repro from Drake and has no holes nor clearance to mount the A front hood hold down as suggested. There are two holes about 3" down the shell on both sides but you have to fab up a strap to go from the holes to mount the A hold down.

Need a headlight bar for your application. Straight won't work.

Re: 1932 Radiator Shell and Grill Question
Check to see if someone makes a lower splash apron that fits the '32 shell and A fenders. Bob

Re: 1932 Radiator Shell and Grill Question
The '32 commercial grille is a virtual bolt-on to a 30-31 radiator. Only modification needed is to fab/re-drill the lower shell-to-radiator bracket.
The '32 passenger grille doesn't fit as well because the lip for the insert is too deep. This causes alignment issues with the radiator neck. In either case, you'll need to modify the headlight bar to fit, as it will hit the grille bars. |
