Default removing exhaust manifolds

My old truck's 8RT has a lot of exhaust leaks, I'm curious how likely the exhaust manifold bolts will come out without problems? And is there a good technique to help get the bolts out in one piece?

an old time engine rebuilder told me to give them a solid rap on the head with a hammer,i would also soak them real good with pb blaster before and a little heat ,take your time drilling out studs isn't fun

old school has the right ideas, but to add to them I heat the stud/bolt till it is hot and then hit with a hammer, then try to turn out. if that doesn't work then as it cools soak with pb blaster

All above ideas are good. Remember all the bolts aren't the same size.
Sometimes using an impact wrench (low setting) will help
"knock" them loose. Be gentle. Replace them with bronze bolts or stainless bolts.
Use plenty of anti seize. I used flat washers as I didn't want to have
a spring washer work harden and break later on. Bolt torque is 30 to 35 ft. lbs.

Thanks for all the feedback. It already has a stripped thread in one of the bolt holes, so I don't want to aggravate the situation by breaking off even more. It doesn't look like there is much room for drilling, tapping, helicoil, etc. Maybe with the front clip removed.

The truck has dual exhaust, I'm not sure if the manifolds are stock or not? I'll keep you in mind if it looks like I'm in need of replacements.
