Re: One of our barners in Street rodder
Another interisting car for me is on the right hand side of page 85 next to Paul Howards. I remember when I first saw that car at Sanford dragway in Maine in the late 50's. That's when I first met Sabie. The car had an early Lincoln over heads in it, when Lincoln first came out with OHead around 51-52. The next time I saw the car was in the early 80's and Sabie had put a flathead in it. The last time I saw it was in the late 80's at Sugarloaf ski resort in central Me. I can still see old Sabie crawling out of that roadster after a long ride from MA to Sugarloaf Me. I always loved that car. Walt

Re: One of our barners in Street rodder
Got magazine the other day (after 1st post above). Didn't know if I was getting as I let my subscription lapse, after receiving about 7 mailings. Two weeks ago I get another mailing offering me street rodder AND rod & custom (also let it lapse) for $17!!!!SEVENTEEN dollars for BOTH. Substantial savings. Not the magazine (SR) it was 7-10 yrs ago though.. Gotta love the "little" books.
Nice to see "barners" in print. Paul in CT |
