rear shade
HI:
I'm looking for a good sample of the roller shade for the rear window for the Late 31 Deluxe Tudor Sedans I'm trying to get the original ones made again and I need a sample of the original shades to do it and I have two companys that I'm working with to make the fabric but I need a fabric sample to give them to do it. Reason is the re-pop ones don't and aren't even close to what the originals even looked like so I'm trying to get the original type of material made again and then the rear window shades made again for these old cars. And yes they do fit other cars other then the Late 31 Deluxe Tudors cars and yes I do have people that will make the shades already it's just I have to get a original fabric sample of the rear shade first the one I need is the diamond shaped material NOT the harringbone one just the DIAMOND shaped one that one was more popular then the other harringbone one. So if anyone has a original shade and can give me a good original sample of the shade please let me know and yes I did have a ad on here for a pitcure of the original DIAMOND shade but that would bring the cost of the shade up to high that it wouldn't be worth making it so this is the only way I can get the shades made again without it costing a small fortune to make the shade again and to keep the cost down to where people could actually afford to buy it. Thanks let me know reggiedog Last edited by reggiedog; 08-20-2015 at 09:15 AM. |

Re: rear shade
This is pure conjecture, but I suspect that the shade material for bodies made by Briggs, Murray, Ford et al may have a different weave pattern because they did business with different mills.
If my memory serves me right, I read there were two slightly different shade cloth weave patterns used in the 190A Victoria Coupes which were all made by Murray. I have the special mill run reproduction of the double diamond pattern for my car which was duplicated from the shade material in an original car.

Re: rear shade
The reproduction of the original weave was a one time deal many years ago/
