Default Short wheel studs '41 coupe

I changed my wheels from the original "16 inch to Vintiques gennie 15x6 wheels and my wheel studs are too short, can I get longer studs for my stock drums/hub, if so where and which ones are correct? See the pic of front wheel, don't think it is safe to drive that way.

Confirm that the wheel is firmly against the hub, and hot hanging up on the center bearing portion of the hub. Makes no sense that Vintiques would sell you a wheel that does not fit! Changing out studs is a non-trivial task.

Changing-out the studs is out of the question, as they're swaged into the assembly at the factory. These swaged studs don't just press-out like later studs. And this should go to show anyone paying attention that the BS name "GENNIE" is actually a bunch of superfluous crap, pulled straight out of Vintique's rear end.......what a surprise! I'd be pissed big time, Charlie Brown! You now realize that you've invested some pretty serious money AND wasted time into four worthless piles of crapola. Pays to do some serious homework. DD

This pretty much sums up what Vintique is all about. Just yesterday I pulled a license plate bracket out of the box for a'40. Looking at it, I am not certain what kind of '40 as it is not even close to a '40 Ford bracket.

And no, I did not purchase it from Vintique. In fact, I wouyld not purchase ANYTHING from them.

To help answer your question as to "what's wrong", this picture shows a 1940-'41 wheel. Note that the area of each of the five mounting holes is NOT raised-up ABOVE the flat surface that mounts flush against the drum. In fact, you'll note that the tapered part of the lug NUT seats BELOW the flat surface, far below the height of that raised surface on those "fake-out" GENNIE wheels. You should be able to look at your original wheels and see the difference. DD
