Is Little Dearborn Parts defunct?
Tried to call them several times yesterday and the phones don't even have a chance to ring before the call cancels. I assume they are OOB?

Sad to lose another supplier devoted to our hobby.

Who purchased their inventory?

Re: Is Little Dearborn Parts defunct?
Most of the original parts were sold over several auctions years ago. Mostly what they still had was the same aftermarket parts available from other vendors. The property they had been in for many decades got too valuable to sit on anymore, so the business got down sized and moved to a small industrial park type joint in the suburbs, to slowly close up. I would guess the sons are retired now to play with their own fords.

Re: Is Little Dearborn Parts defunct?
I was fortunate enough to have toured the old place and seen the tremendous inventory years ago. A guy could have gotten lost in there and not be found for decades.

Re: Is Little Dearborn Parts defunct?
I'm so old that I remember going to them when they were on the second floor on West Broadway in Minneapolis.
It had to be in the fifties. Sorry to see them go. |

Re: Is Little Dearborn Parts defunct?
When I first started selling my T5 kits Little Dearborn and Joblot were my main suppliers of the early Ford parts I used. Sadly both are gone.

Re: Is Little Dearborn Parts defunct?
Stacy Brown in Arlington was a major buyer of old parts from dealers that were closing down. He had multiple storage building with all kinds of NOS parts. I don't know what happened to his inventory when he closed the doors. Southside Obsolete up in Minnesota is another outfit that is still around. Fred has a lot of stuff that's hard to find. He goes by barnfind08 here on the barn.

Re: Is Little Dearborn Parts defunct?
As noted above, they have effectively been gone for years.
