Default 1936 Ford Club Cabriolet Body to Frame Bolts

Hi Barners,

Most of my family and business obligations are finally completed and now I can spend some time on my "Rust Bucket", as my daughters call it.
I've removed body to frame bolts on the passenger side from the cowl down to the rear wheel well but have not touched the drivers side yet. I am surprised at how little I can lift the cowl up in the front. Someone in the past was weld happy when they patched the floor and I don't want to start grinding welds randomly.
Does anyone have a bolt to frame list with locations? Maybe I missed one or two down the line. Van Pelts frame diagram does not show fasteners.
Thanks,
Bruce/CT

Check with Roy Nacewicz. He is the nut and bolt man. I restored a Dearbon winning 36 Club Cabriolet years ago, but I do not recall the details you are inquiring about.

Wescotts Auto Restyling in Oregon has a complete frame drawing showing all the bolt holes in their catalog. I believe yu can go online and get that drawing. Go to; www.wescottsauto.com and go th the Tech section and they have all the frames shown. It might help to locate all the bolt holes.

Thanks for the suggestion Chris. I already have the Wescott frame diagram printed. It shows holes in the frame BUT doesn't seem to indicate which of the holes has a bolt inserted. Some of the holes in the diagram are empty on my frame. I will contact Roy as a last resort if no one here has the info. He is ALWAYS very willing to help. I didn't really want to bother him.
Thanks all,
Bruce/CT

There should be four bolts attaching each side of the cowl to the frame, one at the 'A' pillar, another about 2" just in front of the 'A' pillar. There is one on the inside front corner of the cowl, and then one on the front corner on the outside of the firewall.
