Default how differntial gears work

Hi all.I found this on Flixxy.com.I've always wondered what goes on inside a rear end. Now I know.If you have a couple of hours to kill,this office/family friendly website is full of very interesting videos but not all auto related.The differential video is period correct and worth taking a look at.

GM made a neat film using tinker toy type pieces to illustrate how they work. A link to it was posted on hear a while back.

That's the same piece of film. It starts with the motorcycle display team.

It is a good explanation of what is going on in the rear end.
