Identifying NOS Lens 01A 13082
How can one be sure that a 1940 parking lamp lens 01A 13082 is a genuine NOS Ford part and not an aftermarket or reproduction part?
Does the original part have the Ford part number inscribed on the lens? Would the aftermarket and reproduction part have the original Ford part number or their own part number inscribed? Also, generally speaking, are manufacturers of reproduction parts authorized to inscribe the original Ford part number on their products? Thank you. |

Can you post a photo?
I have a couple of aftermarket lenses and they don't have the Ford part number. They say "Lens for Ford" or something along that line. With the vast amount of companies that made replacement parts, it's hard to say whether any companies put the Ford part number on their part, but I would say most did not. |
