Being old as dirt, I did buy from Rick's in KC in the 60's and 70's. There weren't many model A parts suppliers back then - Rick's and JC Whitney/Warshawsky, that I knew of. There may have been more and decent vendors, but I was young and naive back then. Even though I don't particularly care for Mac's, they are much better than Rick's ever was.

I want to buy from a company that refuses to sell something of bad quality. I use Bratton’s because I have noticed items that they don’t offer. I appreciate that.

I agree with this post. I too have purchased from Mac's and have had some good stuff. But their catalog is second to none! Worth purchasing something to get a current catalog.
