RIP Walt my friend. Always a smile, a great fiddle picker, friend, a flat head engine master builder and a wholesome truly down to earth fun character.
Heart felt condolences to Walt’s family, his loved ones for your loss.

Very sad news. I had the pleasure of visiting Walt twice. Once with the Barners tour of Maine and another visit when he taught me how to measure camshaft lift and gave me one from his stash for my current build.
Just a nice man with a Maine sense of humor.
RIP Walt and prayers for Rockie

So sad to read this. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. I know several people with Walt's engines and they were pleased. A tremendous amount of flathead knowledge was just lost. May he rest in peace.

I joined in 2010 and enjoyed Walt’s posts, he was always willing to share his vast knowledge of flatheads. Condolences to his family.

Sad news indeed.. Never got to meet him personally, but from reading his posts it was obvious that he was a master of all things flathead and his advice carried considerable weight. RIP Walt!

Like many here I never met him but learned from posts. RIP Walt. Any videos of him playing his guitar?
