Default Headliner for 1930 model a tudor

Headliner for my tudor came with the four sown in strips in the wrong place. What now?

What did the people say that you bought it from? When I bought headliners from LB years ago I had to provide them with measurements for bow locations from the header back.

Headliner came from Cartouche Upholstery. They are no longer in business. I will need the cloth strips taken out and installed in right spots.

If it doesn't fit either way around then I'm not sure how it can be made to fit and still look presentable. The listings are generally sewn along with the section edges. Each section should also be the correct width front to rear. Now if the sections were too wide, the stitch lines may not show after correcting the section widths.

After removing stitches, the old stitch line will likely always show. I'd be surprised if they didn't show. It would be much easier to just purchase a new correctly fitted head liner.

Ok thanks for the input. Maybe l can leave the incorrect ones in and just add the right strips. I will do some checking.

If you have enough extra material on the ends you might be able to pinch up enough to sew tack strips up to.You will just have some extra seams to look at,unless that bothers you.My friend was a trimmer and he bought his headliners from the Acme Headliner company. They have a website, but DO NOT use it for anything other than getting their phone number. You will need to actually talk on a phone if you want an answer.
