I guess it is the same as a truck of the same era? Am going to clean it right up today and see exactly where. If I have to separate the housing halves, I guess it is going to be a big job. Was curious if I could undo one side completely from spring and loosen the other side and let the diff hang from the other spring, then pull one half off, and do gasket ? What is involved at the pinion bearing to allow one half to come out? I guess I will it will be more figured out later on today, but just asking in case anybody has had to do this job. Would be much easier if it was the same as a car diff, as the centre banjo /pinion can be left untouched to replace a gasket. |
