Default Door latch problem 1931 Roadster

Hi Gang
New to this forum. 1931 Ford Roadster, the drivers door is shut and I can't get it open! Door handle just spins freely(I took it out) I have door panel off and can not find a way to open door. Looked at removing hinge but door still would not open(top hinge doesn't seem to give enough) What can I do?

MD, Had this problem on a roadster and used a hole saw to cut away the metal of the door latch on inside, Once removed I was able to access bolt to draw it in. New latch was necessary anyway.

Do you have loose door hinges? I'd try lifting the rear of the door up and forward as you work the latch. Maybe you can get a thin screwdriver in between to pop the latch forward.

Take the handle out, place a wide blade screwdriver in the rounded out socket. If that doesn't work try the proper size Eazy-Out. Bob

Whhen I had the door handle in the latch (the hole for the square bar between the interior and exterior handles) it just spins nothing happens. Has something broken inside the latch? I can't find a diagram of what the inside of the latch looks like
