Default Worn Front Tire

After putting on new tire all around, my passenger side front tire is almost worn bald after 1000 miles The drives side is worn more than the back but still has tread. What would cause this and how do you fix it?

Let's start by what brand, ...and what size?

Generally speaking, proper alignment both in toe-in and in camber are crucial to tire longetivity however improper air pressure and aggressive driving style can affect tire wear equally as much.

If the tire is worn on the edges and has good tread in the center, I would suspect that the tire is under-inflated. I had fairly new Firestone and this was the case on my car. JMHO

Conversly if it is worn in the center and not the edges it is over inflated. Other than this and the previous post it is really necessary to post a picture of the wear pattern. If the wear is on opposite sides of the front wheels it is probably a toe adjustment. King pin wear could also be the culprit as could engine sag that can modify the caster.

I had the same problem. Then I checked my toe-in...totally off. You want 1/16" difference front to back of the tires.

If one tire is worn more than the other I would look for a bent front axle.
