35 pickup seat springs
I need to purchase the bottom and back seat cushions for my 35 pickup. Having no luck finding a used set so I'm going to start with new frame and springs. Any advice from someone that has purchased these items from a dealer ?.
Thanks

Re: 35 pickup seat springs
Try Synders Antique Auto in Ohio. They make springs for most Ford Vehicles.

Re: 35 pickup seat springs
I have seen a past post on this site of a detailed drawing of the bottom seat wood with dimensions. Not having any luck finding it again and I need to replace mine. Anyone know where to look ??. Thanks

I did purchase a set of seat springs from Snyders as you suggested . They arrived yesterday all in good order. Thanks for your help. Now on to purchasing the covers and making the wood bottom. Only need to finish up winter and get thru mud season and we'll be back on the road..

Re: 35 pickup seat springs
There was a thread a while back by Zimmco. He showed a photo of a seat bottom(see image) Try contacting him.

Re: 35 pickup seat springs
Note that the bottom of the seat base is routed around the perimeter to accommodate the thickness of the seat cover and tacks. The hinges are also inset into the bottom so they are flush with the bottom. See the picture in #5 above.
The attached picture taken whole fitting things up shows how the springs fit the bottom. |

May fit perfectly, but it is not cut properly. Correct configuration is as shown on Don Roger's posting #5 above.

Re: 35 pickup seat springs
The original floorboard is plywood. The bottom picture in #5 is an original, which had delaminated and was pretty beat up. I made an exact duplicate.
