What end do you have on your cable, square or round with key?

The outer cable should have a male end that screws into the speedo
and a female end that screws on the drive gear on the torque tube.

In 1928? through mid 1930 the Stewart Warner and North East speedometer cables will NOT interchange
the Stewart Warner has male threads on the cable and the North East has female threads
this changed with the new round speedometer in mid 1930 through 1931 ,where they were both the same as the Stewart Warner
the first two pictures are of the Stewart Warner speedometer and the second two pictures are of the North East
the Instrument panel on the North east is obviously the wrong one,but this was just for illustration purposes of the speedometer
