Default Fan Hub Sealed Bearing Model 46-48 ?

Hi folks,
Despite my search on this forum I have been unable to find anything about this model fan assembly. I think its 46-48 .
I need to replace the bearing, so my questions are;
How does it come apart? It seems to have a square lock pin through the case (arrow) and a press fit.
Does anyone stock this part, and what is its part number?

Any guidance would be appreciated
thanks
Dave

It is a 49 Ford. 46-48 have 8 bolts holding on the fan blade

Dave....That is a '49 or later fan. I found this article (BELOW) in a 2011 post here on F'Barn.

Default Re: Relacing Fan Bearing

The bearing can be changed, between the fan hub and adjustable mount is a rubber washer up aginst the rear of the hub. Pull the rubber washer back to mount and you should be able to see a c-clip holding the bearing in the hub, remove the c-clip. The thin metal thimble in the center of the fan comes out and the bearing can then be pushed out the back of hub. The shaft/bearings are New Departure and are not available but NSK 885586 can be used, the shaft is a little longer on the fan side but still enough room in the hub for it and you are still able to put the thimble plug back in the fan.

The bearings are listed as water pump bearings.

They LOOK like this bearing BELOW.

You MAY be able to order from "Advance Auto Parts". Click on link (BELOW) to THIS bearing!

I have replaced the bearing on the fan in my '51 with one of these. You really should have access to a large press to do it right.
