Drag link assembly installation
For the life of me I can't remember which way my drag link assembly went on my 47 Ford. I got a new one and it looks exactly like the old one that I took out, but I had it out for a couple of weeks so I forgot how it goes back in and which side goes where. I'm also wondering if I need to remove the right side spindle again just to put this back in. Can anyone please help me out on this?

Re: Drag link assembly installation
The drag link goes under the wishbone, that's why it has the bend to provide clearance.

Re: Drag link assembly installation
Just remember the image posted above is a generic image covering a lot of years. it may not be exactly right for your particular model judging by the comments above.

Re: Drag link assembly installation
Thank you all for your help. I had to 1) unlock the steering wheel. I don’t know how it got it off so easily with it locked. 2) put the 47 back on its tires and on the ground. 3) install the knuckle side, and next the pitman arm. Now it’s all done.
