Spare Tire In the Wheel Well
Am I supposed to put that tire assembly into the wheel well -- without any air in it, or what? That's a real bitch when it's fully inflated.
Thanks |

Re: Spare Tire In the Wheel Well
unless you have a tire pump with the car, letting air out can be risky if you're like me and will do my own flat tire changes when needed. Try a water/liquid soap sprayer on the tire then try wedging it in. They were a tight fit when new. Hopefully the tire is the correct width for your "A".---Pete.

Re: Spare Tire In the Wheel Well
I put mine in slightly deflated so it’s still useable in an emergency . I then get it inflated ASAP. I also carry a can of Fix a Flat but I’ve never used it.

Re: Spare Tire In the Wheel Well
On my long-gone pickup, I deflated the tire a bit to get it in the well, then reinflated it to correct pressure. Sounds strange but it would come out of the well OK when fully inflated.
