How about some relative bearing grease, mail buoy, or a sky hook? When working in the Electronics Technician shop aboard ship would charge up large capacitors and leave them on the bench for people that came in and picked up items. New Electronics Officers learned quickly not to touch things on the bench.

Another friend told me when he was going through AP school would purposely drop a bolt I the magnetic pan where someone was reassembling an engine.

Probably could not get away with the jokes we use to play on the new folks in this politically correct world.
