Default 29 Model A Roadster parts questions

I am going to redo my roadster top and would like to find snaps to attach to the body with, rather than tacks, so it can be removed if so desired. Wonder if someone has an idea of where snaps might be available for this purpose?

Secondly, I purchased a metal trunk that opens on the top and the front drops down, as I understand, it is an aftermarket item that was offered. I would like to find the bracket that attaches to the rear of the car. If anyone has information on such an item, passing it on would be appreciated.

This is a 30 deluxe roadster top. It is removable. The fasteners are called 'clinch' fasteners and are listed in Brattons, etc. under open car tops. The corresponding grommet is on the next page. The clinch fastener has a wood screw base that will turn into your tack rail.

First, let me say welcome to Fordbarn.

The metal trunk you are describing sounds like a Kari-Keen trunk. The bracket you are seeking is a part of the trunk. Your options are to fabricate the bracketry using luggage rack mounting brackets as your foundation and have the remaining pieces laser or waterjetted out should you be unsuccessful in locating the proper brackets.
