I've had a couple dozen British bikes over the years.Only two Triumphs though.BSA's,Nortons,AJS,Ariel,Matchless.Lots of BSA's.I still have a 58 A-10 in the shed,last registered in 1982.I put new tires on it the last time I registered it,and it never even left the yard. In 1977 I bought a 41 or a 46 EL,(61 inch) that was an untouched bike.Stored dry,only the leather was aged.I paid $1600.for it back then.I kind of snaked it out from under all the other buyers that were insisting they needed to hear it run first.I paid and hauled it away.I bought it from the original owner that had parked it around 1960.

I bought a 48 FL 74 in 1963 when I was 15 for a hundred bucks. Got it running and rode it to high school in the spring and fall. A 48 Harley was the first year of the panhead, and last year of the springer front forks.
The chances of someone willing to trade any Model A's for that particular bike is zero. That's my old dog Trixie on the bike with me.

Off-topic but I never could understand why they called the model with auxilliary seats (in Ford-speak) the Business Coupe, but without it was simply Coupe. Seems to me a traveling businessman (i.e., salesman) would need cargo space more than passenger capacity.

I probably will never trade off my original Model A as long as I'm able to keep it up. I have a few other old nice cars but the Model A takes me back to the way cars were from the beginning even though it's not the first car ever made. Like a enjoyable trip back in time evrytime I drive it.

I will always have my town Sedan which I restored 42 years ago but a few years ago I sold my 30 A Roadster and purchased a 1959 Triumph TR3 .

I'm without an old car after 35 years of driving them.
Too many other things on my to-do list right now.
If we were shopping for another it might be a Model A sedan, AA truck or an early 60s Rambler, 50s Studebaker, or any 50s-60s pickup.
Maybe even an Allis-Chalmers WD.
Won't know until if and when it happens.......

Model A stake truck. I let my dad sell his restored 1931 years ago and wish I had it now. Make sure you really do want to sell the A's because it is not easy to turn back time once they are gone.

if I had more space, dont think the 5 would be a problem, but my bucket list is sooooo
long and I want a few others before I cant.
I have 2 roadsters......a 29 all original with incredible patina and a light coating of rust.
the 1930 was restored in the 70s with crackling paint. which to keep? always the dilemma, but Ild like to swap one for something different.
at least As are more attainable then some of the other choices. the vincent will most likely never happen, but I always was a dreamer.
an early indian powerplus has been on my list for 30 yrs, but now have become way too expensive.

Ive seen a few in the last 2 yrs selling for 20k and thats an incredible steal!
those cars were 45k 10 yrs ago. the bargain of the decade.
20k buys a nice driver.

I went backwards and traded my 1959 oldsmobile dynamic 88 for my current model A. I was bored of the Olds and never owned a model A. Don't regret it one bit either.

I’m 88 and my wife is 79 so I’m thinking about thinning the herd. I sold my ’27 T Touring a few weeks ago and am now thinking about selling my ’22 T Roadster, my early ’28 Open Cab Pickup, my ’28 Roadster and my ’37 Fordor Touring Sedan. I plan to keep my ’34 roadster until the day I die though. I think this car would be easiest for her to sell.
