Never say never. I have a 59A that had a slinger type crank. I converted it to accept a rope seal. I don't know whether it was converted from rope to slinger back in the day or if it could have been built like that. It had been rebuilt previously.

Yeah, I guess it would depend on the crankshaft being used. I’m sure some of the earlier crankshafts found their way into some 59 blocks.
