Most people say change it at least once a year, regardless of mileage - preferably in the fall when the car is put up for the winter. If the vehicle is driven a lot, then mileage would apply (every 3,000?)

I think condensation is the only enemy. It takes years, and if you are in a climate that does not see wild temperature changes between night and day I would not worry about it at all

older style oil was organic base [dead dinos] and would oxidise with time modern oils are at least semi synthetic [a huge chemical cocktail] and doesn't brake down any where near as quickly so we get higher mileage out of it but you need to check your situation and manage accordingly

Every year or when it changes color, whichever comes 1st.

The containments (sp?) / in old oil can attack the bearings.
Moisture, new oil or old, will eat away at the oil pan. That may take years to cause an issue, but it does happen.

How often to change it? As many opinions as there are belly buttons. In my old Fords, I change it just prior to storing the cars, regardless of miles traveled. Oil is still cheap. bearings and their installation are expensive.

Agree 100%. I'll glad pay $30 vs. thousands for a rebuild.
