'68-69 Galaxie
Will the '68 Ford Galaxie trunk lid interchange with the '69 trunk lid. Thanks in advance to all replies!

Re: '68-69 Galaxie
No, they are completely different cars. A 68 Ford LTD Trunk Lid is the same as a 68 Galaxie, but has different trim along the bottom edge.

Re: '68-69 Galaxie
So I need a replacement trunk lid for my '69. There is a '68 trunk lid in a local junk yard. So you're saying I could use that and just transfer the trim over to th ereplacement?

Re: '68-69 Galaxie
The 69 model was a re-design.
See if the donor yard has a HOLLANDER INTERCHANGE MANUAL. That will give you donor source.

69 Only, but on a good note all 69 body styles use the same decklid.

Re: '68-69 Galaxie
I looked it up in the Ford parts catalog and the 68 sports roof is different but all 69 body styles are the same, just the trim is different on each model.

Re: '68-69 Galaxie
Thanks for that. I'm hoping I can find a replacement for my '69 as the rust out is in a rather curvaceous area at the bottom inside of the lid which may be a challenge for me to replicate.
