1947 Air Cleaner Maintenance Decal
According to The 1941-1948 Ford Book by Ken Brown on page 5-5, the air cleaner maintenance decal goes on the passenger or right side of my '47.
For '41 and '42 cars, it goes on the drivers' or right side. Seems to me that's the side where the decal is most noticed since is on the same side as the dip stick and the oil filter. This is not a question of monumental importance compared with most of the issues guys are dealing with here, but I'm curious as to why Ford would would have made this change for post-war production? |

Re: 1947 Air Cleaner Maintenance Decal
I was told that the location of the decal was determined by how many drinks the person who put them on had before coming to work that day.
