The wound roller bearings from Hyatt are actually "shock absorbing" roller bearings. I saw this described in a Hyatt catalog at work. When hitting a load the rollers would move axially, thus limiting excessive contact stress. The added benefit is the slot in the helix applies lubricant across the race.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know all that , I thinking bout going a different route, I had these N.O,S Bearings on the shelf so I thought I would finally get some use out of them.
