Default Spring start up

Hello fellas! This will be my first spring with our Model A. It will have sat for a good 5+ months before being started when the weather finally breaks. Would it be wise to add a little oil in each cylinder and let it set for a spell before initial start up?

Just start it. I start flathead V8's that have sat over 20 years without doing much more than checking the oil first. No problems.

Check all your fluids, charge battery, oil distributor and generator, check water level in your battery, I add new gas with Marvel Mystery Oil.

Hit the starter, your good to go.

This comes from 76 years living in the Northeast and putting cars away from November until April/May.

Have a great summer!

Enjoy.

I always need to clean the contact area of the ignition points for the first startup in the Spring. I use a points file but mild grit sandpaper or a nail file will do.

I have two other 6 volt vehicles (jeeps) with breaker points ignition but they do not have the same problem.....They are all stored in the same building.
