Default Fender rubbers

On the rear of the front fenders of the 46-48 fords & mercury where they bolt to the cowl there is 4 heavy duty rubber washers that go on the bolts & have a nipple that fits into the large hole in the fender.. I have tried everyone with no luck on finding them, has anyone with these cars had any luck in finding them,
Thanks, Rick

Seth, they did not, I also spoke to Fred at I believe is obsolete & I spoke to Joe at Joes antique parts and no one is familiar with these rubber washers. I know they use to be available because I have purchased them in the past . Thank you. Rick

I remember using them on our '41. believe I got them from Macs but was years ago. I needed some more and rather than buying them I bought a rubber sheet from Mcmaster-Carr suply and punched out my own. Didn't have raised portion but worked OK. Used a flat washer the same diam. as the rubber and they formed into the hole in the fender nicely.

I poked my head under my '46 Ford wagon and it looks like about 1/4" thick by about an inch or so. If you can not locate one I would do as fordor41 recommends and purchase the rubber from McMaster-Carr and use a hole punch and you're done.

Woodiewagon46, yes that would work except the fenders have large holes approx 1/2” so the nipple on the back side of these rubber washers will fit into them, that is the problem with just using a flat piece but thank you for your time & input.

They kind of look like the rubber washers that come with modern shock absorbers? In San Dimas California there is a old ford parts store. They have some NOS and a bunch of used stuff. Early Ford 909-305-1955. I have bought a lot of stuff from them.
