Default '53 flathead 6v Pertronix conversion

My dad has a '53 wagon, all stock. We want to convert it to Pertronix.

It's still 6v positive ground with a generator.

Will the original coil work? Will Pertronix work ok with the generator?

Has anyone done this swap and can take a pic of the wiring or explain it better because the directions are a little confusing on how to wire it to the coil/ignition.
